The state of Assam in India is recognized as one the hotspots freshwater fish diversity. Beki River an important tributary Brahmaputra River. A significant decrease this region has been a major source concern recent years. diversity encountered various anthropogenic threats that have led to loss biodiversity. In study, was studied six landing zone and 31 species were recorded. ichthyofaunal belongs following families - Bagridae (9.67 %), Balitoridae (3.22 Belonidae Claridae Cyprinidae (64.51 Mastacembelidae Osphronemidae Schilbeidae (6.45 %) Siluridae %). study recorded Cypriniformes most dominant group species-rich family.The rich like Ailia coila, Tor putitora, Cirrhinus mrigala, Puntius conchonius, gelius, terio Exotic Clarias gariepinnus, which reported present are they may be threat indigenous near future. Species phutunio, Systomus sarana, Clupisoma garua now facing population depletion. Shannon index 3.33 at L5 (Uttarganakguri), 3.21 L4 (Nizdamaka), 3.11 L1 (Gobardhana) indicate good while 2.98 L2 (Safakama), 2.97 L3 (Dumnighat) 2.88 L6 (Madulijar) sampling sites indicates moderately polluted water.
